Microblogging may be contagious, but is it dangerous?
Not really - the only danger here is that yet another way of digital communication (just like IM with AOL, Yahoo, MSN, ...) gets compromised by corporate interests. Have a look at Identi.ca to see how easy it is to microblog in freedom!

For some reason or another people may be in the uncomfortable position to have no choice. But - bricked up in proprietary crap or not - at least open your Windows!
